Living a healthier, balanced life can be tough sometimes. But making small changes to your daily routine can make such a difference to your health!

In this video, I talk about my daily habits that help me live a healthier, more balanced life. Here are a few of those tips:

  1. MOVE YOUR BODY – Sometimes working out can feel like a chore. But, when you find an exercise that you are passionate about, it’s something you look forward to. I love starting my mornings with yoga. It’s not only a workout, but a spiritual and mental connection for my body. Even if you go for a 15-minute walk, do something to get that heart rate up. You will feel so accomplished and energized!

 

  1. LESS CAFFEINE – If you’re like me and enjoy your morning cup of joe, I totally get it! But, instead of drinking it well into the afternoon, make a switch to green tea. Green tea is full of antioxidants, helps aid in digestion, and has less caffeine which will help later when it’s time for bed.

 

  1. HYDRATE – Drink your water! Staying hydrated throughout the day is so amazing for your health. Water helps regulate our body temperature (good during those hot flashes!), flushes out toxins, protects our joints, moisturizes our skin, etc. The list goes on! So DRINK UP!

 

  1. BALANCED DIET – Eating healthy doesn’t always have to be plain and boring! During the week I like to meal prep basic proteins and veggies so I can mix and match them, creating my own little meals throughout the day. I like to always have chicken, fish, brown rice and fresh veggies on hand. These basics can help you build balanced meals full of protein and nutrients. And if you like to snack throughout the day, just make some changes to your snack stash! I like to keep yogurt, nuts, fruits, and veggie crackers around when I want a little something extra.

Just making simple changes like the ones mentioned above can improve your health and mood throughout the day. It all starts with one small change. And when you feel good on the inside, it reflects on the outside!
