How many times do you look at your daily to-do list and get overwhelmed with the thought of “I have to get this done today or else…”? The anxiety of getting everything done takes over and your day becomes a blur. Well, I’m here to tell you that sometimes not obsessing over your to-do lists is a good thing! If you are a mom like me, the daily tasks can keep you busy on top of the to-do list of things you keep putting off.

Let’s stop worrying about getting every little thing done. We are only human. Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves? So here is what we need to do instead: stay enthusiastic when working through our lists and listen to our body and mind while making sure we have enough energy to get things done efficiently. However, if we just don’t have the energy or time…we need to realize that it’s okay to put it off for another day. Again, we are only human.

When I am pouring over my own to-do lists, I can easily get overwhelmed. So, what do I do? I write in my journal about the task, and in my mind the job is halfway done! Here’s what I mean: I know I have to prep and make dinner, so I write down the recipe/ingredients that I need and I know that I do not have to actually cook until the evening. But it helps to take a bit of pressure off, and I can move on to the next task. PROCRASTINATION PUT TO GOOD USE!
